Creation Station

I'm getting so into my event creation ... it's a little crazy. My idea is a benefit concert called Rock For Wishes. All proceeds from the event will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Foundation grants wishes for kids suffering from life-threatening diseases. The kids get to live out a dream and forget about their daily battle to survive. I visited the their website (http://www.wish.org/) to do some research. I was psyched to see one of the bands, My Chemical Romance, I had chosen to 'rock for wishes' is an active participant with the foundation. My Chemical Romance has granted eight kids with wishes already! So cool! I picked a slew of other rock/alternative bands that would please a wide variety of potential audience members. I'm so into the project that I've already sketched out a logo and designed apparel to add to the fundraising effort. As soon as I figure out how to get it on my computer (don't hold your breath), I'll post it up for you guys to see.

I love the Make-A-Wish Foundation. There should be more organizations like it. It's so sad when kids have to handle such adult problems. Those granted wishes are such blessings.

You can count on Tanya Darling to perform for your benefit concert! :)

Very cool. I'd love to see the apparel. Maybe you should run it by Andy: our in-class designer. Chances are he could organize yet another event for you: a run-way show. Woot, woot!

This is a great idea. Concerts are awesome and if it's for a good cause then even better!

Lindsay,
Sounds like a great idea. I am always happy to see when people have ideas and ambitions to do things for a good cause, growing up my dad was a head of the board for The Boys and Girls club and organized two golf tournaments a year to raise money for the Boys and Girls club. I appreciate the hard work that can be sometime under appreciated when it comes to this type of effort.

WOW great work Lyndsay! I think its a great thing that you are doing. i love to see the good that all poeple possess in them. I love the variety too. From going to Africa to "feed the hungry" to "making the wish" by a rock band. That is awesome! We all have something to give.
